I did a word study on the word “confidence” we’re in challenging times and know the Lord is with us.

So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19 NKJV

I have so many of His divine precious promises…Isaiah 59:20-21 NLT
[20] “The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins,” says the LORD. [21] “And this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the LORD, have spoken!

I send encouragement in these trying times. God is so so good! He never leaves us nor forsakes us.

2 Corinthians 1:1-11 NLT
[1] This letter is from Paul (Janet), chosen by the will of God to be an apostle (follower) of Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. I am writing to God’s church in Corinth (CHESAPEAKE AND VIRGINIA BEACH) and to all of his holy people throughout Greece (Hampton Roads and Wisconsin). List your town.

[2] May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

[3] All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.

[4] He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. [5] For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.

[6] Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.

[7] We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us. [8] We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia (CHESAPEAKE). We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.

[9] In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. [10] And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

[11] And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.

Thank you for all your love, prayer and support. The Lord is my “El Roi” who sees all and sees me. He is precious in my sight. I draw near to Him and He draws near to me and speaks!

The questions have been asked, Job 4:6 NLT [6] Doesn’t your reverence for God give you confidence? Doesn’t your life of integrity give you hope?

I would have to say, “Yes”. I have seen and remembered the mighty right hand of God who has saved me before and moving on my behalf and is not a man that lies. His word is strong, faithful and true and without His promises, I don’t know where I’d be.

Psalm 146:5-6 NLT
[5] But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God. [6] He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.
